I'm not sure if the keyless module is in the same place as where honda installs its factory alarm, but the factory alarm is above the driver's kick panel with a 16 pin green harness.

1
Turn the ignition key to the "On" position (position II).

2
Press either the "Lock" or "Unlock" button on the remote. The remote you're using does not need be a programmed remote. You must do this within five seconds, or the programming will not be successful

3
Turn the ignition to the "Lock" position (position 0).

4
Repeat Steps 1 through 3 two more times with the same remote.

5
Turn the ignition switch to "On."

6
Press either the "Lock" or "Unlock" button on the remote. The car's computer will lock and unlock the power locks if you've successfully entered the programming mode.

7
Press the "Lock" or "Unlock" button of every remote that you want to program. Keep pressing until you get the confirmation from the computer in the form of another power lock cycle. Once you hear it, you can move on to repeat Step 7 with the next remote.

8
Turn the key to the "Lock" position to exit the programming mode

I'm gonna bump this post.

I've ordered a remote on Ebay with FCC ID:NHVWB1BU523 (didn't get the original one when I bought it)

I tried the steps above, but nothing happends. I've also tried to reconnect the car's battery, but no result. I checked the battery inside the remote and that one is working aswell (the light on top goes on).

Can anyone help me? I've got an EDM Civic 1.7i ES

Allright got it fixed now. An American fob doesnt work. If you have an EDM Civic, one with an FCC ID won't work. Got one with an E-mark (european standard) from a 2005 Civic Hatchback and it works fine.
