Default Need BIG BUTTON Ergonomic CD-Reciever!

Hi, I'm in Kentucky and looking to order, online, a no frills, big-button, <$150, two-channel CD Reciever that has a form factor different from everything I have ever seen at a car audio store. I want something that has nice, big buttons, not much of a flashy display, ***** that have some heft to them, etc. etc. I'm willing to buy online, and if I find something exactly what I want, I can stretch the budget a bit. I want something in the form factor of a good stock unit, but with better sound quality and enough clean power for some good component speakers... without the annoying flashy lights. If you were going to get a reciever for someone who's half blind and shouldn't be driving and needs to use the buttons by touch alone, that's what I want. FYI, I'm not blind, just annoyed. Thanks!

Don't waste your time with an aftermarket unit. Get a quality line output converter (LOC) then use a small amplifier to run the components and leave the factory player in the dash. You can get highquality to sound from that kind of setup.

Any head out there that's worth a **** (generally and IMO) is going to have small buttons and no matter what you choose it won't power components well.

I've heard that those, uhh, step down converters really lowered sound quality? Of course, it was the commissioned salesperson trying to sell me a headunit that said this, so I took it with a grain of salt, but wouldnt something that just electrically limits the power of the reciever significantly lower SQ? Or do *all* stock recievers have a line out these days? How can I tell? FYI, I currently have a 92 accord to which I plan on getting a cd reciever for a later model accord from a junkyard or something, if I can do that and maintain high sound quality...

The sound Q from a line out converter will never match that of a good head unit.

Just get a good aftermarket. Once you own it for a while you will get used to it and the button size wont bother you anymore.

Any thoughts on this unit?
