The subs are rated at 2ohms each. 12" Kicker L7 Solobaric.
Use Sub 1

Don't use Sub 2. Your amp is stable down to 2ohms.

OR

Use Sub 1 and 2

Each sub is wired directly to the amp. By using Sub 1 and 2 the amp configures the speakers in parallel and still sees 2ohms.

what do you mean the subs are 2 ohms each?

Take them out of the box and read the model number.

Holy **** I can't believe some of the **** people say on here. There is absolutely no such thing as harmfully under powering a sub. Do any of you know how impedance in a sound system works? If you have an amp that makes 1500 watts at 1ohm and you wire to 1 ohm, that amp will never actually see a 1ohm load and the ohm load changes with every single note in a song, therefore the wattage changes PER NOTE. In a single song the sub could see anywhere from 400 watts to 1300 watts in a fraction of a second

This is a sub that hundreds of people put 3k+ watts to and mine only saw 1200 watts on a good day. Are you going to tell me I was harming the sub?

OP, I'm going to assume your head unit is the problem. Your amp probably isn't getting good voltage which is why you have to crank the gain way up to even hear anything

OP, get a better amp and use 1

l7's are notorious for needing huge boxes to perform well

1 on 600w in the right box will do its thing

No matter what amp he gets, it's not going to do much when it's only getting 1-2v input from the Loc
