Default My new stereo setup! Kicker inside!

When I bought my car it had a crappy system in it, 2 12's which 1 had a huge crack in it, 8 guage power wire, an amp that overheated and Blown door speakers. So I decided to re-do it. Ever since I was younger Ive always been in love with square Kicker subs, so thats what I got. I built the box to 2.5 cu ft. with a double front wall. The box is made out of 3/4 MDF.

New Stuff

Alpine CDE-9852 Headunit w/ Ipod cable
Infinity Reference 5012i 5 1/2 door speakers
Kicker 4 Guage wiring kit
Kicker 1000.1 amp
Kicker S12L7 sub

here are some pictures during the build

Just pieced together

Now im waiting for my 3 inch ports to come in and I have to build an amp rack

What should I use to mount the sub to the box? Just Drywall screws?

yeah, you can use drywall screws...OR you can do it big/better by using tee nuts and machine screws...if you use the tee nuts/machine screws you can take your sub in and out without putting more holes into your box...imma do this when i get a new box

drywall screws are about as ghetto as you can get. Either use tnuts and machine screws or the appropriate pan head sheet metal screws. Nothing looks worse than drywall screws with equipment!

I'm a big fan of kicker amps myself.

How did you determine the appropriate volume of air for the inside of the box?

Besides screwing the box together, you should also glue it.

The box is glued, screwed and than sealed with calking.

Where can I find t-nuts? Link?

I used http://www.the12volt.com 's calculater for the volume of the box

I love this amp, its acually a lot smaller than I thought it would be
