do i always need to buy a master unit to run the indash tv?

for isntance i plan on buying a pioneer avh-p6400 monitor and later on adding a mp5500 mp3/cd/dvd player. can i just hok the 2 up and they would work fine or do i need to buy a master unit/brain(or wutver).

if anyone can help out a noob that be great. thanks

 

You can run just those two if you want...however you can't run your car speakers with just those two
