Making some progress on my system
I thought I would post up the progression of my system up until now. So here goes.
I started out by building 2 cylinders for my sub enclosures. I started out, to get the form, using 2 1/2 inch mdf discs and connecting them together using this vinyl type stuff that I found at home depot.

After that, I proceeded to wrap them in fleece (for the fiberglass resin). Yes, those are bears on the fleece. Yes, they are kinda fruity. And, yes, I know this. But the fleece with the bears on it was the cheapest fleece I could find, so that is what I went with, bears, and fall leaves (on the second one).

We then coated the cylinders with 4 or 5 coats of fiberglass resin.

So after both enclusures had cured and were ready, we though, "Let's put em in the trunk and see where they would look the coolest and sound the best." We opened the trunk and realized just how big they actually were. We were left with two options that looked halfway decent, subs facing up, or subs facing back. We played the system both ways, and it was clear that the best position for the subs was facing back. Now all my plans (which obviously weren't very well thought out) were fucked. We then spent a day or so thinking. Thinking about a way to make the **** look good. We came up with this plan and started working on it. We got as far as the pictures below show, and whether or not we carry on with this idea, I don't know. We will just have to wait and see.

So that is as far as we have got. Next session, we will have to sit down and think about where to go from there. Where that is, I don't know.
Oh, and if anyone is interested, this is a rundown of what equipment I have:
Alpine CDA-9807 deck
MB Quart RSC 216 mids/highs in the front
Nothing in the rear
JL Audio 300/4 running the Quarts
2 JL Audio 12w6v2's
JL Audio 1000/1 running the subs
And a Rockford Fosgate digital capacitor
Thanks for looking if you did, and any comments welcome.

looking good, i would cover that in some fiberglass and cover the glass in some vinyl or something to match your interior. i would like to see that in person when you finish, we don't live too terribly far away from each other
