Default low end 6.5" Components

Yo, I have a 95 Prelude. My factory mids are popped. I plan on getting some new components. For now I will only have the OEM Deck pushing them, possibly a 25w amp at some point, but not more then that.

What would be a good deal for me? I have thought about Alpine type S. I don't really want to spend more then 100 bucks, but let me know if that is realistic.

Thanks
Matt

Well that was all I found today, but seriously I can't find a site that reviews this stuff. So I was hoping that someone worked at an install shop and could recomend something.

Thanks

Would be nice to know. Thinking of replacing the front speaker/tweeter combo in my mom's corolla haha.

Any one know what the mounting depth of the doors are. Crutchfield has some 1 15/16" speakers that would fit, but I'm not sure if that is the max depth or not.

Thanks

pretty much anything should fit. im not saying everything will, but most. its a pain in the *** to install components, atleast it was in my hatch, i took the doors off and wired it right, what a bitch. i had to cut and bend to get **** to fit, thats how it is with front compent speakers for my car unless you get these boston acoustics i think. but i went with Polk/Momo and i love them.

I heard the CDT-CL61 6.5" at a local shop and they sounded awesome. I liked the sound so much I had to buy them, and for the price I really havent heard anything better.

I'm installing them wednesday, we'll see how they sound in the car.

I was looking at those MB Quarts but I did some research and found that most people say that the lower lines of MB Quart componets have very bright tweeters and that it'll get anoying pretty fast.

I saw people going as far as powering with tweeters with a separate source from the woofer so they could turn the tweeters down to good levels.
