im interested in learning all about wiring and the electronics parts of cars. things like wiring in series/parallel, how switches work and the diff types (single throw, etc), soldering/crimping wires, etc.

basically, does anyone have any sites that provide a good start for the newbie?

Take an electronics course at a community college, they teach you everything.
