kill switches
ok, yeah, like a lot of you guys, i'm fairly paranoid about my car's safety
. anyways, does anyone have an ignition kill and/or fuel cutoff switch? if so, did you do it yourself? also, does anyone know if one or both of these come with any alarm packages? thanks.

Yes, it's really easy to do all you need is some wire a relay and a switch.
Some alarms have them, some don't. Even if they do it's better if you have one independent of the alarm.

Im doin just that. My car was broken into and the key ignition was destroyed so rather than pay the $300 to get a new key assembly from honda (God I hate dealers...), im putting a S2000 start button in its place. To take care of safety, im wiring in 3 kill switches (starter, ignition coil and fuel pump). The switches will be located at various spots throughout the dash (one will probably be in the glove box so i can lock that). That way I dont need a key to start the car, just need to know where the 3 switches are. To take care of the "on, accessories, off" positions of the ignition, im wiring in a 3 way switch that takes care of all of them. Sounds difficult and im sure it will be but its better than paying $300 for the new ignition assembly and having much less security.
