Keyless Entry Module
I have a Canadian 2000 Civic Si and from what I can tell, the module is supposed to be under the driver side left kick panel but the slot is empty. I have power locks. Is there somewhere else the Canadian Civic Si would have this module? It seems like at some point there was some form of aftermarket unit installed. Not sure if it was power locks or just an alarm as I never got a key fob with the car. Would an install company typically remove the OEM module when they went to install an aftermarket one?

Hello.
was wondering if you figured out your keyless module issue. I have a Canadian 2000 EK that I did a power window and door lock swap. Can’t get my keyless remote to work. Not sure if you need the module for the door locks or if it’s only for the keyless remote.
thanks in advance.

Is your keyless remote factory or did you purchase aftermarket? You will need the OEM keyless module or you need an aftermarket unit. My OEM unit was removed for whatever reason but I had an aftermarket alarm unit that was wired to also use the key fob to lock and unlock the doors. Luckily I was able to get a remote from Amazon and after a few tries, I was able to get it programed.
