Default keyless entry

OK I just wanted to know if I would still be able to keep my keyless entry on my 98 honda civic when I install my new headunit??? If not, is there anything that i can do in order to keep it?

2 ways I have done this:
Easy way: Leave it plugged into power harness, tap off of wires. Shove it under the center dash behind/under the new stereo. Believe it or not there is room.

Better way:
Tap into power wires, run them under seat, buy a Metra harness starting with 71- and hook that to the wires. Mount the stock radio under the seat.
