Default just one question...

is it possible to have a good sound output with a setup that includes: a Pioneer AVIC-D1, Mb quart for speakers, kicker for sub, jl for amp.

Anything is possible, Sounds good to me. You will probly want to amp those mb quarts tho.

You have, IMO, good equipment, a proper install will get the most out of it, on the other hand, cutting corners in the install at best will not allow the equipment to work to it's full potential, and at worse, can damage that equipment.

A common cause of "blown" speakers, [including subs] or damaged amps and HUs is poor install methods, improper mounting and/or wiring of equipment, I have replaced more then a few subs just because they were in an improper box, [wrong size or poorly constructed] and the most common problem I see is improper setup.

Take your time, do it right, it will sound great and last a long time. 94

you should check and see the voltage of the pre outs of that unit. pioneer is kinda weak in that area and this will affect overall sound quality and performance when building a system. i remember the avic-n1 only had like 2.2 v. you should look at alpine or eclipse... get up to 5 or 8v if you can.

ok put the Pioneer system up to your ear and tell me how it sounds, it doesnt put out any noise at all, it all depends on your amp, and your speakers, I hope your going to amp those MB Quarts cuz you might blow them due to under power.
