Just looking for an opinion....
What do you guys think about the amp/subs?
Two Planet Audio 12" 450w subs that are being pushed by a 2 channel audio pipe 1200w amp.
I acquired the amp for 75$ brand new still in packaging and it seems to hit in the perfect range for the speakers.
If it makes any difference they're in the trunk of an 01 civic coupe.
Also, what can i do about the rattling, it is excruciatingly nerve racking.

Although it is always useful to have a MM&Y of car, in this case a make and model of the sub and the amp would help.
Although I am not that familiar with P/A gear, When you Google it, their site comes up, not eBay or some other non authorized retailer, and that's normally a good sign.
I have never heard of " audio pipe" Audiopipe, but same with them, Google them and you get their site.
I am no fan of companies that do not tell you where they manufacture their product, although it looks like Audiopipe is an eastern US company, with dealers all over the east coast, one down in Washington state, one in Porto Rico and one dealer in South Africa and no other place in the world. 94

Alright, thanks guys. I'm not really worried about the noisiness of the amp, its in my trunk with the subs. On the topic of sub model i have no idea to be honest, i bought them for 50$ with a box and they seem to work really well. Ive had the for a year now and they sound way better with the AudioPipe amp vs. the MTX amp that just died on me.

I have to agree with Cobb2819, if it is working for you, why would you care about anyone's opinion.
As for the "rattling" that comes with the bass.
There are things that can be done to help, but you will never get rid of them, and if you do, new "rattles" will develop, it is the nature of the beast. 94

my only advice is go old school, u.s.a made, pure &clean power. Audiopipe is trash, sold that crap at a shop i used to manage. Memphis car audio is one of the last standing companies as far as new stuff. Once you have gone through a couple of systems nd heard a ton of others it always seems to be the old school that sounds the best. bottom line.
Orion hcca 225g4 - runs 400watts/rms @ 1ohm (runs .5ohm stable)
MB Quart 12" pwd-304 (10+ years old and destroys it still!)

mmmm i can't think of any new gear i like either
JL audio is about it
boston, quart and focal still make good speakers
the older american amps are indeed higher quality. a few brands are even extremely good for sq
phoenix gold
zapco
old soundstream
arc audio
mcintosh
probably more i'm forgetting
car audio these days is all about marketing and flashy names. in fact, it's the main reason fosgate is as big as they are....great marketing team. it's also why JL can charge top dollar for a decent but not really exceptional product.
there's literally not a single amp i know of made today that could rival a phoenix ZPA for sound quality, what's sad is how few of these exist. i actually may buy a couple on ebay when they come up just to have. there is a .3 on there right now i've been watching. it's one of the pinnacle amps of car audio
even the zed audio stuff from the 90s like rodek, autotech and hifonics are considered good today when they were more of a mediocre brand in their day

50 dollar subs? and they sound nice? Probably nicer than a car with no subs, but I bet my speakers sound better than the subs alone, just saying.. usually 50 dollar audio equipment is crap, like buying it from walmart. (yes they have car audio, why buy, idk)
yes I do, go buy 20 dollar speakers, put them next to 80 dollar speakers, big difference
put those 80 dollar ones next to 300 dollar ones, major difference.
same with subs. usually low price means low quality unless bought from a friend. also brand matters to, but I guess its what your into for sound that matters.
but if hes satisfied with them, good for him, all that matters is that he is happy.
good job man

show me an amp that will even come half way close to this in SQ and clean power for the same money, that doesn't even start the quality debate

Ya that's one of a few things.
I said life in general.
Say for example you go to mcdonalds pay 2 bucks for a hambuger, then go to a legit place pay 8 or so, usually that burger is better.
All I'm saying is that I have never heard of good 50 dollar subs.
Never seen any either.
Maybe there is cool.
But we shouldn't argue this, it wont get any of us any where in life.
Does PG just make amps though??

depends on which
the xenon line of speakers is good for the $
the ti elite mids and tweets are outstanding but expensive
lot of the rest is junk or mid level joe average
lot of octane and rsd stuff on the market. not worth buying
the rsd mono sub amps are okay but have a high failure rate
the xenon amps have a tightly regulated power supply so you really aren't getting more than 10% above rated power. the also have a high failure rate but it's in a different way than the rsd stuff. xenons usually die quick if they do indeed die. they had solder flow problems and a lot of DOA amps. if you get a working one that's been alive for more than a day you're probably okay.
what PG is really known for
the ZPA amps
the ms and mps amps
the massive show amps, reactor, octane, frankampenstein etc
