Alright I need some help with this in dash TV i picked up from a friend. He bought it off a guy I knew who had it in his car working perfectly, and this kid gets it an says it doesn't have any audio.

So i picked it up for less then a hundred bucks, hoping he just had wired it up wrong or what not, considering I've seen the TV work flawlessly days before. Well I've got it all wired up and in my car now, and it has no audio. All the features seem to work great, but it doesnt have any sound? Could this kid have somehow ****ed the internal amp? Any ideas?

Also, The **** seems to be working, because the volume will go up and down on the screen.

 

The "kid" probably miswired the speaker outputs, [shorting them to each other or to ground] blowing the internal amps output stage.

I would check and make sure if the HU has an internal amp on/off setting that it is on.

You can also check the pre-amp stage by connecting a small speaker to one of the pre-amp outputs, [RCAs] holding the speaker close to your ear and turning up the volume. 94
