Default Interesting Security Thought....

The other day while going through my radio shack catalog, I had an interesting idea. Radio Shack sells inexpencive "voice recording ram boards". Basically your typical board with a ram, or flash chip on there, that can record up to 10 sec of voice, or music. It costs less then $20, and can easily be hooked up to a nice small speaker, along with a backup battery. I was thinking of using this as a last resort in my sercurity setup. Once all my alarms have been bypassed, and my kill switches killed, a sensor hooked up to the RPM read out on my tach would trigger the voice board, playing a loud message like "Stolen Car, notify 911". Now if this setup was hidden well enough, and powered my its own battery, then the thief would have no way to disable it. And Im sure no theif in the world will want to drive a car thats screaming "Stolen Car, notify 911".

I think the theif would get really pissed off at this point and either drive your car off a cliff... or put it on cruise control.. then jump out.. and just let the car crash whatever... you probably wouldn't want it to be found or recovered

I think if they disabled ALL the security stuff.. they might as well have it...

Well, the system would be activated with the tach signal. That does not mean the car is moving yet. The thief would have a nightmare getting past the brake disabling system. The car would be immobile, and stall if he tried to move. Im just saying that once he starts hearing that annoying warning, then he will scram.
