Default installing new viper 5900 without remote start?

i just purchased the new viper 5900 because of the quoted one mile range. i want to do a stealth install and dont car about the remote start stuff. is there anyway i can install the alarm and not the remote start stuff??

Yes. You'll still need to connect the ignition input either through the satellite relay pack, or some people on here depin the ignition wire from the ribbon cable and use that input.

bump from the dead...

anyways, i just install my viper 5900 in my s2000 without installing the remote start. however, the alarm cant recognize if my ignition is on or off because i didnt wire up the remote start stuff. can someone please elaborate on which ignition input wires need to be connected to what...?

thanks for any help!

Really dead, anyway, use the thin yellow lead in the ribbon harness, you can remove all but the yellow lead from the alarm brain end of ribbon harness, connect the yellow to a "true ign." source, [hot in run and start]. 94
