Well i searched and found one post that said if you ruin harness your screwed. Well I need help. I havent started installl or anything, but wondering whether it is easier to install on a car with an alarm already on it... 95 gsr with factory alarm. I got a mannix alarm and need to install it since it has these features....

2 way LCD Remote
Remote Start
Keyless entry
remote trunk release
remote panic
dome light supervision
defroster operation
anti-carjacking
overide valet switch
Turbo Timer
Shock sensor
hood open sensor

and some others....

shoudl I do this myself? or should i pay Circuit City 250 to do it?

1st. DO NOT take it to Circuit City!!! I used to work there and the only good job we did was on our own cars. LOL Sorry, but it's true.

You might need to bypass the factory alarm. Not sure. But ask them. They'll know.

If you have basic electrical knowledge, you can do it.

Also, do you plan on installing the remote start? That's prolly the hardest thing to do b/c you have to cut some wires under the clutch to disengage the sensor there. That way you do not have to push the clutch down when you want to start the car. Otherwise, you'll end up remote starting into a wall.

Let me know if you need any more help.

go to the place that you bought it from, and if you got it from ebay and ****, go to an audio place that sells it and get the diagram

IMO, after wiring my own remote starter in one of my old cars, i'd pay someone to do it. It just wasnt worth laying upside down under the dash for that long.

i would, but the place that installed my alarm said that they wouldnt install remote start cuz itgs illegal on manuals...... Sol I went elsewhere and they said they coulnt do it cuz they would have to take out the entire thing and redo it for 250.... I called a BS on that one. They would prob charge me 250 and just hook up the wires that arent hooked up...
