3 prongs switch is basically a switch with light.
If you want the light to turn on when the switch is on.
Then 1 switch is Ground.
If you don't want the light, then just use 2.
There should be a drawing on the switch. but if not just used a tester and test it.

Shawn is right, about the wiring of the switch, but I will elaborate a bit more.
1 prong is Positive, wire that into a power connector that is only on when the key is in ACC or ON.
2 prong is Switched, wire this into the amps remote connection.
3 prong is Ground, wire that to bare metal.
This way the amp will only come on when the switch is on AND the key is in the ignition.

Dan</TD></TR></TABLE>SPDT= single pole double throw or a switch tha has 3 "prongs" on it, were middle "prong" is common and the 2 outside "prongs" are connected with middle depending on what way you toggle the switch
