infinity kappas vs references?
i have all reference and they are incredible but i regret not buying kappas. Ive read numerous forums and everyone seems to say you will notice a difference between reference and kappa. still infinity makes incredible speakers, especially for the price. i think you can get 6x9s and 6.5"s now for 200$ w/o tax. thats pretty good, when i bought mine they wouldve been 250 but i waited a extra week and the 6.5"s went down to 79.99 on sale.
anyways i bought all my stuff at circuit city and i found out just last week that http://www.etronics.com has all of it for half the price basically....anyways sucks to learn the hard way
i dunno how reliable etronics is but if you were gonna buy from them i would get components with the crossover and mountable tweeter...as for 6x9s get kappa, you will have a great sounding system.
(of course you will need to amp these speakers to get 100% out of them)

nice picks! the references have more mid bass then the kappas the kappas are more focused on the highs go to your local electronic store and lissen to the diff u will notice make sure it is the same hu you use and the same settings u should deff herr the diff in speakers. if u want rediculs highs go for the kappas u want more mid bass go for the refrence or u can do what i did and get the kappas in the front and refernces in the back Sounds sooooo goood man great balance i would recomend running them off a 4 chanel amp once i hooked them up to the amp i was blown away. Dont get me wrong they sound awesome running of the hu it depends on what u are looking for and your budget. Good Luck man!
cant you return them from circuit city, as long as its been within 30 days...but yeah i guess i would be lookin for more mid bass than highs, thanks for the input!
I have Kappas in my Integra, and I think they are great speakers. Like the others said, they are very good speakers, but do not put out a whole lot of bass (or midbass for that matter) I originally installed them and had them hooked up to the stock HU. These speakers require a lot of power for you get the most out of them. They will work, but you will not be doing them justice by just pushing them with a stock HU. I ended up buying a 5 channel amp and ran all 4 speakers and a sub through the amp. Major improvement.
I also work at Circuit and yes you can return those speakers as long as you haven't had them for more than 30 days. Personally, I think the Polk Audio speakers are a better all around speaker compared to the Reference series speakers. (that is if you are comparing speakers that CC carries)

speaking of just circuit city, what set of speakers do you sell has the greatest mids? i have the sony xplods right now, got 4 for 100 soo it was a pretty good deal. neway the bass is pretty good once running off a HU and it will be better with an amp, but are there any speakers that have better bass than the sonys?
yes ive heard sonys are crap but they have pretty tight bass if you ask me

well first of all are you gonna be running the speakers off of your deck or an amp? the kappas will sound **** loads better with an amp, look at its power rating. I have the perfects in my car and they sound great, but of course i had to use a 4ch. amp
