Default Increasing distance with Compustar

Currently I have CompuStar 2W900FMR installed it's working real good so far.
However, I'm in desperate need of more distance (mine is 3000ft).
Is it possible to just buy a 2WSSR remote (6000ft) and increase distance?
Or do I have to buy a whole new system?

Well on most of the compustar line the brain is the same. All you needed was to update the antenna and remote to upgrade. Thats why compustar remote do not come programmed. But not with the sst units.

Do they sell the antenna seperate?
I know they sell the remotes, my dealer's gonna hate me.
Regardless, good to hear some options available, appreciate it.

Youe compustar dealer can sell you both the ant and the remote.
BTW 2W900FMR is the remotes model number, you have a 2W900FM-A, [alarm] or -S, [remote start] or -AS, [alarm/remote start] your main unit is a CM3300, alarm or a CM3200, [remote start] or a CM 3000, [alarm/remote start]. 94

PS, your not going to want to know what the dealer wants for a 2WSSR and the ant.

I have the AS, alarm and starter.
I was hoping I could do this on my own if it's just a antenna and remote swap.
fcm, don't let my hopes down now!!
Is the price that bad, not worth getting just these parts?
I'd be fine with what I have if I had a handicab sticker....

I would contact Compustar customer support...
http://www.compustar.com/main.htm and confirm that you can indeed "upgrade" the range with just an ant. and remote, I have never done so, so I do not know.

Have you checked at the place you got the unit installed? 94

Not yet.
I felt like I got ripped off at the shop not to mention I drove 2 hrs just to make sure the installers wasn't local. I don't live in the best part of town, it's hard to trust anybody touching my car.
I still have a 3yr warranty with them and its been on for a year.
Compustar not having enough certified online dealers don't help neither.
Just seeking for some options.
