ideas on keeping stock headunit

Default ideas on keeping stock headunit

id like to keep my stock headunit but want to replace the speakers and get a little more out of it volume wise. could a add an amp to the stock system to get more volume and what are some good high quality speakers. i only listen to rock but would like some speakers that cover the range of high mid and low very well but without a sub. any ideas would be helpful. thanks guys.

Why is it that you want to keep your stock head unit?

I'm assuming for one, you have a 99-00 Civic Si, and also that you are concerned with theft?

yes sir. im not so much worried about theft ill be putting an alarm on it but im tryin to keep a somewhat stock interior and also i just like easy controls

Well, what fcm mentioned is good, but your system will only be as strong as it's weakest component.
