Okay, just to cap this thread, I went and tested the 9835 this weekend.
It is a bit slow, but not terrible. It's passable.
Otherwise, it looks pretty nice. Not sure I like the cheesy animation of the time digits as they tick by, but I won't be looking at it. :-)
So, that settles it....Or does it? I'm starting a new thread on the topic. :-)
