It says the box needs to be sealed, 1 to 2 ft^3. This is just a recommendation and is not set in stone. Decide how much space you are willing to let go and build the box with that in mind. Build your box from MDF. 5/8 or 3/4 is fine.

Also, this amp is not 760 watts, but only 125 per channel, so a total of 250 watts. I have this same amp, but of last year's model. By looking at it, I can't see any difference, except that it got some new and improved cosmetics. The amp also doesn't have a low-pass filter, which is needed for subs. If your hu has it, then it won't matter. It also doesn't have a sub-sonic filter, which you would need if you go for a ported box. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about the amp. I use it to drive my fronts and it barely gets hot and does the job like it should.

First if you are on a budget then this would be a nice setup for you. The amp does have a lpf crossover on it.(I have two sitting brand new in my living room) 80hz and lower. The only thing is that those speakers only come single voice coil so you would not be bridging both speakers because that amp can only run a 4 ohm load bridge. I should say bridging the amp. The amp will put out 380 watts at a 4 ohm load bridge. The spearkers rms power rating is 150 rms. And with this setup you will have to run the subs stereo. The amp will put out about 125 per channel at 4 ohm. So you will be under powering the subs by 25 watts each. I have used this setup as a budget build in a crx and a eg coupe and it sounded real good. Your not going to blow off any windows but you will be noticed and heared. I used a 1.25ft enclouser. And the bass responce was quick and sharp and still deep. 2ft and it will give you more booooooom. And for the price its a good beginer system. Really if this is your budget then go with it. You will not be dissappointed. Just because the price is cheap does not mean that it won't perform. Pioneer makes some of the best entry level gear out there. so does kicker and mtx for a price that can't be beat. Not everyone can afford a $200 speaker. Walmart sucks they don't even label there products right. all peak power and no rms. find a prefab box thats 1.25ft and prep it. for the cost it will save you time and money.

Mine has only a HPF with only two settings: 80hz and off. But then again, mine is an older version..

Same model as this year's. I don't know where I put the manual right now, so I can't check for sure, but the numbers seem right from the top of my head. Especially the power ratings and the "760W" on the amp itself. It was also about $120 at SoundDomain.com.

And the amp is pretty damn good too. Don't know about the subs though.
