Default how many watts?

ok so i have type s 6.5's in the doors and type s 6x9's in sealed boxes in the rear. the 6x9's RMS is 50 watts and 250 total, and the 6.5's RMS is 40 and 200 total. i am going to buy a 4 channel amp to power these guys. im just wondering how many watts should i run to the speakers? should i run as close to RMS as possible or would it be ok to push em a lil more and give em half of their total handling power? so should i run 50 watts x 4 or 100 watts x 4? and what amps would be best for this, what provides the best wattage for SQ. thanks!

it doesn't really matter which you get, you'll have to do some tuning on the amp anyway

If you get a 50 rms x 4 amp and tune it right, you should be alright.
