I am wanting to add subs to my Factory radio in my 2004 Acura TSX. I cannot add a new HU with RCA Outputs (Like I am used to) because of the Navi. I have been looking around and have seen that people just use an LOC in their trunk and have it attached to their 6x9s

So for me to do this, I would buy a 2 channel LOC and connect them to the 6x9 speakers. However, I am lost on how the heck my 6x9s will be getting signal if I cut the wire and use it on the LCA. Do I go ahead and use something such as a T-splicer for all 4 wires?

 

You don't cut the stock speaker wires to the 6x9s. You strip the insulation of the wires and tap onto them. Solder instead of using that t-splice crap and cover with black electrical tape. I would suggest getting an AudioControl LC2i instead of those cheaper LOCs out there.

I realized that my Kenwood KAC8105D has Speaker Level Inputs. However, since I purchased this amp used, it did not come with the connector. The connection appears to be a 10-pin connector, however, I cannot find one.

Also, I would HIGHLY recommend that you put something like the PAC LC-1 along the RCAs. It will give you a lot more flexibility in controlling the bass level, besides adjusting it on the radio. That way you don't have to sacrifice the sound of the interiors by having to set the bass on the radio all the way down.

Even if you don't use a LOC I would use an LC-1 lol. I suggest it anytime subs are run off an OEM or a radio that does not have independent sub volume control. Lowering the bass setting on the radio is not the solution, it does make a difference.

 

Contact Mercman. He's on various Honda/Acura forums. He might be able to help.

He built me a custom harness that bypasses the stock amplifier on a 9th Gen Civic Si.

"Just get an amp with speaker level inputs and connect it to the rear 6x9s. You can get the speaker wire adapters (Honda 98 and up) so you don't have the cut any wires. If you plan to go with an amp for the main channels than get one with balanced inputs so you can go direct to the HU with my harness.
