Default how hard is it to build a false floor?

can i just use the factory carpeted piece as the top and you 2x4 as the supports for the top piece. the factory piece seems thick enough and it would just save time. thinking about removing the spare tire and building the enclosure in the well. then mounting the amp towards the back seat and using the false floor to make everything look flush. think this could work? any suggestions?
