My car has no indication off an alarm. No stickers, nothing in-dash, nothing in the engine bay, nothing anywhere, It is a 97 EX coupe and I pulled out the interior light fuse and the thing went off like a mad man. Why? It has a custom cd player and the book says the interior light will only work if you have the honda cd player? Help Please?

 

HAve you found a siren for the alarm, or did it play over the speakers? is a Pioneer headunit?

 

the horn sounded, not an alarm like the car seems to have one built in

 

on some model civics to prevent radio theft...the security system was looped through the radio....as well as interior lights By the way does the car have Honda oem keyless entry...if so and it works..and you have a new cd player...the oem radio is still in the car buried behind the dash. Let me know what you find and we can go from there.

 

to "fix" your domelight if there isn't a stock radio stashed in the dash, there are 2 wires(light green w/red and light green w/black) in the green plug. by connecting them togher you bypass the dome light and it works again.

 

correct! i work at best buy in the install bay. we tend to hide them right behind the power outlet. if you do not want the alarm simply find the radio and disconnect it 1 or 2 plugs in the back of the stock radio.
