Default How do I make a CD deck turn on?

Not from the car of course. I just removed my old CD deck... just wondering how do others light it up when removed? Do I just plug the yellow wire (battery wire) into any of the electrical plugins in my house or what?

Yep, that's one way to get it to "light up". Your face might light up with it if you're standing over it.

The correct way to do this is to hook up the black wire to ground terminal of your car battery, and connect both yellow and red wires to the positive terminal.

rofl, do this. get yourself a 12volt drill battery. twist the yellow and red wire toghter. Put the positive to the yellow/red and the black to negitive. If you do plug this into the wall can you record this.

I'm starting to doubt the whole "survival of the fittest" thing if he's still alive at this point.
