how do i determine the size of a box?
? the thing is my girlfriend brought home a new "EURO RIDER" magazine cause she saw something i might like and it was a tech section "how to biuld a tirewell speaker enclosure" they show everything but how do i determine what the size of the box should be? the are using 3 10"s but i think i want 2 10" casue i already have jl w0's or should i do what they do w/ 3 10" or should i do 2 12"? thanks
Depends on the brand and model of the sub. Each sub will have its own recommended box sizes sealed and ported.
What subs do you plan on using?
If you have a teg, I'd go with 3 10's.

Well if your building some thing like this with glass.......
You pretty much "guess" as you can always make it smaller.
I used water to measure the volume, came up with 2.8 ft^3.

Size recommendation comes with the subs.
To figure out the box size take the cylindrical volume of the circular section, then the volume of the ring around it (volume of outer cylinder minus volume inner cylinder divided by 2).

it all depends on what size, what brand, ported or not, divided etc find out what subs you wanna get first and it will tell you in the specs
