I just bought this alarm and was wondering if I can use the responder antenna that is from the viper 791 and the python model instead of the one that came with it, will it work? If not, what is the difference in them. The brain and all of the other components look the same as viper and python only thing different is the remote and the antenna. Thanks.

 

sorry, but the 564t will not work with the responder antenna. I tried it when it first came out. The hornet is a entry level unit. I would sell it and get the clifford or viper unit with the responder unit. The range on the hornet lacks range. It was never ment to have the range of the responder seires.

 

Damn that sucks thought they are the same cause it all looks the same except the remote and antenna. Oh well, since I bought it just gonna have to put it in. Thanks for your help.

 

Its a good alarm. don't get me wrong. I used it on one of my personal cars. It had alot of features that work, parking meter timer, real time time onboard temputure of the car, timer on remote. and more
