Default High pass filter question

How many Hz should I be setting the amp to according to my component specifications? Would it be better to use the high pass filter on the amp (kicker 200.2) or on the head unit? It's called xover w/ settings hi or low on the amp.
Here are the specifications for my alphasonik components:

# Power Handling: 120 Watts RMS
# Frequency Response: 35Hz – 25kHz
# Sensitivity: 90dB 1w/1m
# Mounting Depth: 2-1/2” (woofer)
# Mounting Depth: 1” (tweeter – flush mount)

I would try to stay around 80hz for my highpass. I'm not sure how well those components will extend down to say 60hz without some flappin around.

I would use the headunit's crossover first, then try the amp's. Use both to see which one you like better.

Someone on team-integra told me to use both.

You can do that if you find that it sounds better to you. The only thing is, the headunit and amp's crossover may not be as consistant as one would think. Even though they can be advertised at Xdb octave, the actual slope may vary. The same goes for the crossover point. In the end, you *might* end up with a funky frequency response curve. But hey, if that sounds good to you, go for it.
