totaled my ej8. had a alpine CHM-S601 6-disk cd player in the trunk. when parting the car parts out at the insurance yard, i was in a rush and just unbolted it from the trunk and pulled the plug out from where it was plugged in.

recently wanted to install it in my winter car (2000 mitsubishi eclipse rs) because my cd player died.

Did you pull the Alpine deck as well? And the AI net cable? You'll need both of those to get the unit to function in your new car...

BTW: Why would you downgrade to an Eclipse RS??

 

the 6 disk was hooked up to the factory cd player (the same set up i want in the eclipse), and the 6 disk itself was in the trunk. when i took it out i simply unplugged it and left with the 6 disk not grabbing anything else because i thought products would be able to be bought on hand in the future for the future install.

ps the eclipse was a winter car that i got cheap that i thought was somewhat quick and reliable, and i can have fun with for a daily. in search of another ej8, due to having parts from the last one.
