Default Help Viper 260V Remotes not functioning

My brother recently got his car back from the body shop and his Viper alarm is messed up. The remotes do not function anymore, and the alarm will not stop going off unless I put the car into valet mode via the backup switch. I checked all the connections under the hood and everything seems to be connected and grounded properly. I also checked the brain and noone has touched it. The DEI site only has the install manuals for the 200 so I'm assuming the 260 is the same. I tried the remote learning sequence (off, ignition, off, ingnition, off, ingnition and button 1) but the remotes don't respond. The lights on the remote are working on both the primary and backup remotes.

Any help is much appreciated.

The alarm is on a 1994 Acura Legend GS

The car starts without any problems in valet mode.
Will a bad fuses cause the remotes to not respond? Are there fuses on the alarm that I can check?
Could it be a bad sensor somewhere?
