Default Help with Subwoofer install to Clarion headunit

I recently purchased a Clarion headunit and have it installed, everything works fine. I have it hooked up to a Kenwood sub with a built in amp. The unit has subwoofer controls on it but they won't work. The sub is working fine but I can not adjust it from the headunit like I should be able to.

There are four different RCA hook-ups in the rear. One is green, one is red, one is gray, and one is black. Do I have to hook the sub up to a particular RCA for the controls to work? Or is there a setting on the headunit I don't know about?

The instructions are useless and I've never owned a headunit this nice that has this many inputs.

it should be hooked up to the sub output, or the non-fading, look in your manual to see which is which

That's the problem. My manual doesn't tell me.

pull your radio, and plug them into each RCA input until your controls work, lol
