Default HELP Right speaker/tweeter not working

Hi guys,

I've had my 99 Si for awhile and today I was curious about what 6-1/2" speakers the prev owner put in the car. I faded my sound to the front and I found out that only the left speaker and tweeter worked. I balanced it to the right and sure enough no sound whatsoever, not even from the tweeter. I can't believe I never noticed that my right front speaker and tweeter were never working. Does anyone know what could be wrong? Thanks H-T.

Most likely a blown tweeter. Don't sweat it. Its not like its the best sounding setup anyway. Find yourself a componet set and replace it. Or find a decient co-axel speaker and replace the mid and don't sweat the tweeter.

Have you tested it to make sure it was bad. Pulling the door pannel to see if the other owner modded anything?

Interesting. So you're saying that a blown tweeter could've caused the speaker not to work? Sorry if it's a noob question but I don't have a lot of knowledge about audio stuff.

No I haven't pulled out anything except for the speaker covers and the speakers themselves. I'm gonna try pulling the door panel like you said. Good to hear it's nothing serious though.

Do you have OEM or Aftermarket speakers?
