Help me out! Infinity tweeters make no sound at all

Default Help me out! Infinity tweeters make no sound at all

my dad installed some infinity tweeters from his junked rx-7 in my '92 prelude and they make no sound at all, no crackle, nothing. can anyone tell my why. i have the factory radio soon to be replace by a Pioneer DEH-P5800MP.

They are either fried or they aren't wired correctly.

i checked out the wiring and even disconected the factory tweeters and conected the infinitys alone, nothing at all.

If I remember right the x-over, [cap] for the stock tweeter was on the tweeter, the speaker lead running to them is full-range, the infinity tweeters are from a component set w/an off board x-over, connecting a tweeter to a full-range signal will toast it almost instantly 94

the factory tweeters work fine, so i guess my dad toasted the infinity's

but the tweeter is not connected to the speaker signal, its connected to the factory tweeter signal
