Default Help Issues with Alarm

Alarm System : Crimestopper CS-2016 DP II FM / CS2016FM Remote Start

Started having issues with my alarm not working. It has been in the car a honda civic 98 coupe for about 3 years.

Now every few days or so I cannot unlock or start the car. We have to go unlock it with the key and after a couple turns it starts.

Then for a few days or more the alarm works fine.

I installed the unit myself and saudered all the connections. I just finished checking all the connnections and power. Could not find anything out of place or loose. The fuses checked good also.

I think the unit itself is failing.

Also car has a new battery and alternator.

Could use some help on what to check next. About to order a new alarm unit.

Thanks

Common nobody has any input.

The bastards just stole my honda emblem 2 days ago when the alarm was acting up. It's like they know when your **** is having problems. Just my luck. Worried there gonna try for more before I can get her fully functional.

Thanks for all the help ... HA HA

Found my problem awhile back. My ground from my battery had rusted out on the frame from the inside out and I could not see it. Replaced the cable, cleaned the rust and sealed it.

Good to go.

A bad ground can give you some crazy faults. Always seem to send me through a loop before I realize a bad ground.

Multimeter is a great friend in troubleshooting.

Not really complaining A Hole.

Just a question and bump.

An what is the point of your reply? To plainly talk crap?

Thought this was an unofficial tech resource forum for honda and acura. Guess you forgot that.

Thanks for the help.

You should look into a dei 520t back up battery, It would of told you of this issue my sending you a trigger error on the alarm power side. Also it does wonders for your security system by keeping your alarm powered if an when a theif unplugs your battery.

I got one but I think I had turned it off previously and forgot to turn it back on. Got to check the switch.

Thanks for the info though. Thinking of throwing another one in down the road.
