I have no idea what this means.

Yes it is a little confusing, I assume you mean you ran RCAs from the output/bypass of the sub amp to the new amp, [high-pass], but you did not mention that you connected any speakers to the new amp.

We need more info....

Make and model of your HU?
Make and model of your sub amp?
Mame and model of the new amp?

A clearer discription of how things are wired would also help. 94

sorry for the vague detail, my deck is an alpine CDA-7863. first amp is kicker 750/1 and sub is a 12" kicker L7. second amp is a rockford fosgate 50x2. when i say run the output line into the input, i mean rca's output from 1st amp to 2nd amp input. yes i did connect the mid's to the 2nd amp and my problem is it only produces bass and no sound. my mid's are pioneer 2 way speaker if thats any help by the way. thanks.

"Either input method will provide a low-level output signal at the RCA output, which effectively passes the audio signal to another amplifier"

^^^ from the Kicker ZX 750.1 owners guide.

You will have to run another set of RCAs from the HU, [front preamp output] to the new amp, your sub amp is connected to, [or should be] to the HUs sub output, the Alpine CDA-7863 has, among other things, a high/low-pass x-over built in, use them instead of the ones on the amps. 94

Just do the other way. Set the preset "second amp" as the first one. The Fosgate Punch 50x2 is a wonderful amp, and has the "audiophile bypass", which allow you to link RCA output from it to a second amp without change original settings of the signal.

In my car, I have this Punch 50x2 as the first amp (for midbass, midrange and tweeter), and use its "audiophyle bypass" RCA to a second amp, a Fosgate Punch 200.2 for the bass (one 12 inch sub).

Hope to have helped.
