Default Help finding an alternator for this system

Sup folks. I've decided on the system I want to put in my car. Just recently got a 2005 Accord Ex-V6 without Navi. Looking to put in a JL 13W7 with a JL 1000/1 amp for it, JL Zr 650 CSi Components with a JL 300/2 amp for it, JL VR 690 CXi Coax with a JL 300/2 amp for it. Where can I find out what output my alternator currently has and the specifications for it, and how do I determine how high an output alternator I would need to support the additional load of this system? Thanks.

We don't have a local alternator shop. All we have is Advanced Auto parts and the best alternator they sell is crap. I've had problems with it in my old '95 T-bird where the damn thing went out in a year. So definitely not trying to go that route. Anybody else have any ideas on how you calculate how big an alternator you'll need for a sound system you're putting together?

170 amp alt ---> 2000 watts
150 amp alt ---> 1500 watts
120 amp alt ---> 1000 watts

Thanks GSR and Bbass. Unfortunately, 4alterstart didn't have a high output to fit the 7th gen Accords. I checked out Stingers and it looks promising. Funny thing is, when I checked their site to see who's an authorized dealer near me; it showed up as the same place I want to do the installation of my sound system. Thing is, when I first asked them about the alternator issue; right after their guy told me what he'd need to do for building the custom box, etc they said they weren't sure about what I'd need as far as an alternator goes. Kinda funny when looking on the Stinger site says just contact the Stinger dealer, tell the make, model, year, etc of the vehicle and then they'd tell you on spot what you need.

At any rate, I'll run on over there after the Holiday and see what's what now that I know they're a licensed dealer of stinger alternators. Thanks for the help guys.

Well, nothing's happening yet Kodou. Only thing so far is that I haven't been able to find an alternator that can fit a 7th gen Acc other than the OEM ones and the couple alternator shops in the area say that if the alternator isn't an ACDELCO one then they can't do anything for me. Of course I have a Denso with my bad luck.

Oh yeah, and I've just found out that the very small paint 'chips' that are the same height level as the driver side handle/keyhole near the joint between the front and rear doors are from where someone has tried to break into my car; at least two or three times. All this in just the couple weeks since I've been back from ATL. Car is still stock and isn't even a month old yet.

At any rate, thanks for the welcome to the boards Kodou.
