Help! Alpine alarm install
I just got the remote for my Alpine sec-8027, and got that working. I bought the car without knowing that it had an alarm, and just found out. Apparantly it't not hooked up to the door locks, so I also bought the wiring diagram for the alarm, as well as the haynes manual that has all the wiring I could ever need. I just need to know which wires the 6 door lock associated wires on the alpine 'brain' hook up to on the car. If anyone has any info, or knows where to find out, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
Nate
Thanks in advance,

i dont install many alpine alarms but i know that most hondas are negitive trigger door locks and only need 2 wires, you may have built in relays in that alarm and its a possibility that atleast 2 wires also need to be grounded.. check out alpine1.com for more information.. if i was at work i would be able to help more but im not sorry

*1 Also found in a 16 pin white or gray plug to the left of the fusebox.
*2 In the larger of two attached gray plugs in the lower kick near the firewall. If equipped with cruise control, the plugs are behind the module. To access, remove the lower bolt on the bracket holding the module and pull it up out of the way. The lock wires test only with the passenger lock and unlock switch.
*3 Also a male blade terminal is available in fuse box.
*4 Looks like 14 ga.wire but mostly insulation.
*5 Use both and diode isolate each. *6 12 pin blue plug on top center of fusebox.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

I have an old ALpine alarm but I just checked and it only has 2 wires for door locks. If you have a vewltmeter w/ ohms you can test those wires to see which are normally open or normally closed. Or ground 2 w/ same color stripe, then 2 others should show ground tape these off, then the only 2 left are the ones you will use, when you arm one will show ground attach to lock wire, then the other 1 goes to unlock.
