Default Hear me out PLEASE..

I have a 94 CX Hatch, that i bought from a friend. When I bought it he had installed an aftermarket stereo. It was cheap but it did the job for a couple of weeks. After a while it kept going on and off while I was driving. I eventually got tired of it and bought a used Aiwa from another friend, and intstaled it instead. But the porblem wasn't fixed. It still kept doing the same thing, and it blew like three fuses this time. So i eventually took it out, and I have been driving around without any tunes for like almost three months. The guy that sold me the car told me that cx's didnt come with stereos from the factory, so he had to wire everthing up himself. IS THAT TRUE?(about cx's stereo) IF IT IS CAN I BUY SOME KIND OF STEREO OR RADIO HARNESS?

Thanks for taking the time to read, and TIA for any replies

When you installed the Aiwa, did you hook it up to a bunch of bare wires, or was there a harness there? Even if the car didn't come with a radio from the factory, its more than likely to have a radio harness still. It just sounds like you have some wires hooked up wrong....What fuse is it that keeps blowing??

Here....this should help ya out:

I've been installing for over 6 years and haven't found a honda yet without a stock radio harness. If in fact your car didn't come with a stock harness, the best thing to do is tap your ignition wiring for 12V and ACC. Make sure it is ACC and not IGN. A lot of guys make this mistake and they have to keep their cars in the on position for the radio to work. Make sure to fuse these wires before you connect them to the radio. 10A on the 12V and 5V on the ACC (Your main power comes from the 12V, the ACC is just a voltage switch to turn your deck on, therefore does not draw as much current and does not need as big a fuse). Remember to provide a good ground.

Yes the Aiwa was hooked up to a bunch of bare wires, but they got it to work. The first three fuses that where blown where the ones that are hooked up to the 12 volt (power) But the very last time the fuse that blew was the one found in the fuse box.
