headrest dvd
Hi,
does anyone know if the headrest Xtrons HD705 is crash tested and government/OEM certified? It should protect both front and rear passengers in case of front/rear crash. Is the detachable player properly fixed to the headrest? Does the headrest itself stay in position?

im not entirely sure what you are asking but ill try to answer it to the best of my understanding of your question...
For the front passenger, it should have little to no impact on safety in a crash. yea, you are removing some foam from the headrest, but not enough that I could imagine it being problematic. I have not read any articles supporting that, but its just my opinion.
For the rear seat passenger, thats where the problem can come up. In a front end impact, the passenger is going to be lunged forward. I dont think it takes government testing to realize that hitting a lcd screen is far inferior to hitting soft foam. Im sure if they are wearing their seat belt, its not an issue, but anything can happen, ie front seat breaking and hitting rear passenger
