Default Head Unit Trouble

Hey guys Im having some troubles with my deck its a alpine CDE-9870.
I have 2 JL 12w3v2 with a crappy amp.

Everytime I turn My Music to volume 14-15 or above the power cuts out and restarts immediatly be its self and resumes playing at the same time it cut out.

I read some stuff and Im guessing its either starving for power or there is poor grounding, or Could also be a speaker grounding out at higher volumes.
Im pretty sure that its not starving for power because i had my system for about a year and this never happened.

So it has to be grounding but where should i check for the grounding and which wire?

also can a crappy amp/ bad wiring for amp, have anything to do with this?

Need more info...

Are you using the HUs internal amp to run the high-pass speakers and and off board amp to run just the subs?

When you say "the power cuts out" do you mean you loose just the sound or does the HU turn off also, [like when you turn off the ign.? 94

Yes i have My headunit run the 4 speakers in my car, and a Pioneer GM-5200T amp (380rms bridged) to run my subs.

when the power cuts out the headunit seems like i just lost power because everything turns off. and stays off for about 1 second or 2. and comes back on and resumes playing where it left off.

It seems like the head unit is cutting off because of lack of power supplied to it. It could be loose connection, old wiring, frayed wire, bad ground, failing internal amp, or your component speakers might be drawing more power than the stock radio wiring can handle. I don't know what range 14-15 is on your radio.

If when it comes back on again it still has memory, [clock/radio presets] then you are loosing the acc. power, [red on HU], probably, as mentioned, a loose connection, the connection can be anyplace between the inside of the HU and the fuse in the under dash fuse box, [radio] it could even be the fuse itself.

I would start by replacing the radio acc. fuse, [even if it looks good] make sure it is not loose in it's receptacle and the terminals of the fuse and fuse box , [receptacle] are clean, I would do that first as it does not require pulling the HU, if it does not solve the problem move on to the harness connections, if a harness adapter was used, make sure the plugs are plugged together properly, check to make sure the terminals in both plugs are in good shape, [clean].

Make sure any crimp/soldered connections on the acc. line are good, if problem still there , play the radio at just the level the HU will cut out and give the top and bottom a few good "thumps" with the heal of your hand, while holding it in your other hand.
If at this point you can make it cut in or out, the problem is in the HU and will have to go in for repairs.

If it is not already, wire the HU constant power directly to the batt., [run a fused 12ga from the batt to behind the HU and connect the yellow to it, don't forget to cap off the unused stock constant power, chassis ground the HU with a 12ga also, or use a metal back support the chassis ground. 94

Alright so i should probably replace the fuse first. Does anyone know which fuse the radio acc. fuse is? Im guessing its fuse 28?

and if replacing the fuse doesn't work i look at these wires: Behind the HU to check for any loose connections

Car Radio Constant 12V+ Wire: Blue/White
Car Radio Switched 12V+ Wire: Yellow/Red
Car Radio Ground Wire: Black

is this right?

btw thanx guys for the help so far.
