Default Head Unit Install help

I had a pretty crappy CD player in my ride when I bought it. It wouldnt load the cd all the way. So I bought somethign to hold me over until after I get done with my turbo project. I had one of those wiring adapters from the previos HU and it worked. Well I used the same adapter on this POS HU and it works okay. BUt as soon as I plug it in the damn parking lights come on..WTF??? I unplug the damn thing and the lights go off. Mind you the lights arent in the on or parking position.

You've got an illumination wire hooked up incorrectly, and it's backfeeding through the light switch. Cut the orange wire(s) on the deck harness and cap them. Problem should end then...

LOL that was my next step. I wired up the illumination and 12V to the same wire. I should have known...I was going to try that after work. This isnt my fisrt HU install, but it has been awhile. Thanks bro, you kinda confirmed what I was thinking
