Default haha FF stereo kit

i decided i needed louder music but didnt want to spend much money. so i went to best buy and picked up the Fast and Furious 2 10" sub kit came with 2 10's with box and 450w amp for $199 bucks i was skeptic b/c 1) i didnt know how it would sound 2) i didnt really want anything in my car that said fast and furious. but it turned out to be a decent bump for the buck.

its just confusing me b/c the sound varies due to music genre, techno drum and bass sounds good but sometimes cuts the amp out, rap i can barely hear the bass and when i try to turn it up the amp cuts out. i also noticed that store bought cd's sound better than burnt cd's.

ive been adjusting the gain so the amp wont cut out but i dont want to stop the car and mes with the gain every time i change cd's. my guess is the amp b/c we had my friends MTX amp hooked up to the Lightning Audio subs and it was loud as hell with every music type and never cut out.

so any help with bass, treble,mr etc.. settings would be helpfull

#1 - Turn the bass on the headunit down. When using subs it should be at 0 (preferrably less). Seeing as how you constantly adjust the gain, I am going to assume that it isn't set properly. Follow these directions for setting your gain. Once it is set it should not have to be reset. It is not a volume control.

#2 - Have you checked your crossover? Make surethat itis on low pass and set somewhere around 50-100hz.

Good luck
