stupid easy to use and great customer support great features.
I would go with the 765 blue tooth 3d mapping.
tom tom makes a good unit but i like garmin's ease of use a lot more. if anyone else thinks different chime in because i am in the market to.

Indash vs portable may have some differenes in features but not much if you get a good one of either. I just bought both for christmas and except for the size of the screen, I can't tell much of a difference.
I have the Garmin nuvi 205 (portable) and the Kenwood KNA-G501 (indash). The displays are exactly the same and they are both touch screen. Looks like they both have same features also.
Now I only paid alittle over $100 for the Garmin (Sale) but the kenwood was $250 (used) and that's just for the add on to my indash T.V. so theres another thing you may want to consider.
I'm sure there are better ones or better comparisons but hope this helps.
