Default got a question about volts?

ok. i'm pretty sure i have figured out how to wire my 12 type r so that i can get the most of it. its a 4 ohm speaker so i don't think that i can wire it to 2 ohm right? i just bought the mrd m300 from alpine and on the box it says that at 14.4 volts it pushes more power than at 12 volts. how do i go about setting it to 14.4 even if i can. by the way this in a 93 civic dx 4 door. any help is greatly appreciated.

when the car is on its at ~14.4 volts thats when youll have peak power
when its off its about 12.2 volts
The m300 needs to see 4ohms, so leave your sub where its at. 2ohms will run that amp too hot and then cut off

yeah. that amp should be enough. man. its a great mono amp. plus that amp has all the computer amp settings. make sure you have it set correctly or you wont get full sound from it.

that amp can go down to 2ohms.. check out http://ecominet2.alpine-usa.com/pls/...in=10&p_more=y

you will get more power out of it at 2ohms then you will at 4ohms

yea the m300 NEEDS to see a 2 ohm load and it also likes a hu with 4 volts of output voltage also 14.4 isnt a voltage setting on the amp it what your amp should be at when your car is running
