Ghost switch and Valet switch ...DEI
I have a Python 3000HF by DEI...
the instruction doesnt tell you how to "use" the valet switch,
but I usually just use "door OPEN - key ON - key OFF - remote button 1 - button 2 - button 1" to disable/enable my alarm (like when I leave my car at a shop or something), now i just hooked the valet switch back in the unit...
1. so how do I use the valet switch to disable/enable my alarm? ?? ???
2. can the valet switch disarm the alarm after it has been armed (like when you arm your car, go in the store, come back out knowing your remote's battery is dead, so you open the door with your key while the siren is making all the noise, and then disarm the car with the valet switch if that's possible or it has to be the ghost switch)? ?? ???
3. if problem 2 can be done, then ignore this: ghost switch wiring question H3/9 orange/black wire connects to wire of say my radio (+) with a switch, right? and when the above situation happens all I have to do is hit that switch like twice (default) and I'd be set to go? ?? ???
TIA

1. Open door (alarm will sound), turn the ignition to ON and press the valet switch
within 15 seconds. The alarm should go off.
2. Yes (refer to above). The Ghost switch is optional.
3. Yes. A better choice is to use an existing switch that can send the necessary
pulse to the H3/9 input. I have used the cruise control switch or even the high
beam switch. This makes it harder for a thief to figure out.
