Default General Car Audio Question

I have a 96 Acura integra LS. SE.

Car got stolen, and police found it a few days ago - they stripped interior, rippped our factory speakers and stereo= now i need a new system. I'm not looking for anything that will shatter my windows- i'm not even doing a subwoofer or amp. I just want a standard CD player with AUX IN and decent speakers?

Any suggestions of what I should purchase? I basically want my ipod to plug in and listen to music - nothing blaring or crazy, just nice sound quality with some bass.

Your thoughts

Its personal preference, but i would do the Kicker KS600 6.5" coaxial all the way around. Radio, thats personal preference too. But it seems that every radio nowadays comes with a aux input on the front. So you could buy a good cheap inexpensive radio for around $100 (pioneer, jvc, panasonic, alpine, etc). But i would spend alittle more money and get a radio that will control and charge the ipod so you dont have to fiddle with the ipod while driving down the road (once again pioneer, jvc, panasonic, alpine, etc). Its really up to you but hope that helps.

i would recommend a pioneer radio, great sound quality and they are all around good radios, kenwood, jvc, eclipse tend to have problems with the buttons after a few months of using them.

I prefer alpine (so do alot of people) but you can get the alpine cda-9884 it has the ipod cable in the rear you run it to your glove box and plug the ipod in and control your ipod through the head unit and dont have to control the ipod in your hand. the 9884 can be gotten anywhere from $150-200 and speakers the alpine type s sound good as well and if your looking for a little extra sound you can do a 4 channel amp and push the speakers and get louder and cleaner with out having to have the sub

get a alpine 9884, i have it and love that damn thing!!!
kicker makes great speakers ( i have ds650) and cliff designs and its very loud very clear and has great bass.
i paid $289 for deck and ipod cable installed, $100 for kickers, $199 for cliff desgins (intalled them myslef) .. so not to bad
its better to pay more now, then buy cheap stuff and have to replace later.
i had alpine and polk before and they are also great.
