Long story short, thieves broke into my car n hook my alpine iva-d901... but left the brain... like a dumbass... can i used the iva-d301 with the iva-d901 brain?

to see if my alpine iva-d901 brain is compatible with the iva-d301 head unit...

 

I suggest that you get an alarm installed before you even try to put in another head unit. Thats what I did when they broke in my ride and I have been safe since then. I also installed a paging system.

Paging system comes in handy so if it goes off, you can run outside and beat the crap out of someone lol.

haha smart ***... but yea insurance paid me 2200 for the ****... just installed a viper 791xv

 

a alarm is not going to stop them from a smash and grab. Make sure you don't leave anything worth alot sitting out. See if you can make a stock face plate to place over your new moniter. I didn't heed my own words and last month and got caught slippen by leaving my cd book in my back seat and some tools. My alarm did its job by getting me out side with the pager. just could not catch them in time.

 

Never leave tools visible from outside the fishbowl...

its like a calling card...

a cd case.. if its large then yeah it grabs attention... but if its a small one...but i dunno...

my car has been broken into...

theifs took my rear hatch window and spoiler... they would have taken the car too... if it wasn't a stock d15 non-vtec auto.... cause they popped the hood.. to i guess unplug the crappy alarm..

but i don't know... maybe they were just looking for a rear hatch window....
